about

Géraldine Gallavardin, Mark Browne and invited guests Molly Bloom and Anthony Osbourne, with the participation of the D!N DINS Diners presented "a satyrical music performance about Brexit & its current atmosphere; a moment of animals lyricity where all sounds were permitted. As Géraldine explains:
"During this participatory performance, the audience was reading, singing, yelling some cut-out phrases made up from Georges Orwell"s novel "Animal Farm." While the four musician were conducting improvisation with various instruments, noisy toys, international songs about freedom & love ('We shall overcome' etc.),'The beasts of England' was sang loudly followed by mimicking animals sounds.
A joyful entertaining moment, a mixture of declaimed deconstructed texts & songs with an improv music ensemble where saxophone, Indian harp, Tibetan bowl & many instruments were fused together with the audience as back readers...A musical climax were the voices creative intensity brought a sense of 'united we stand'! A message about communities and how creative projects can set us free regardless of political context."
Recorded on the Sunday of the Art Licks Weekend, 01/10/2017.
